LEGAL ISSUES

To travel to Uganda you will need: Valid Passport with a validity over 6 months and a proof of Yellow Fever Vaccine.

In addition, you must obtain a visa (valid for 3 months) for Uganda on arrival at the airport in Entebbe and there is where your Safari begin ¡¡¡.

Concerning security be practical. Would you do this back in your own country? Uganda, for the most part, is safe and enjoyable. It is one of the safest countries in Africa and Kampala one of its safest Capitals; however, it will be prudent to be wise.

HEALTH

Before you travel to Uganda, make sure that you are up to date on all immunizations. You should make sure you have the following immunizations (depending on the specific area you intend to visit):

  • Hepatitis (A and B)
  • Typhoid
  • Tetanus
  • Yellow Fever
  • Malaria Prescription

Other health advice when traveling to Uganda is to make sure you protect yourself from mosquito bites, which could lead to malaria. Some protective measures against mosquito bites include wearing long sleeved shirts/blouses and long pants, using mosquito, and using mosquito nets. It is advisable to take anti-malaria pills depending of the area you are visiting.

LUGGAGES TO BRING

Practical Advice for Packing, keep it down to the essentials starting with the reason you are coming to Uganda for. If you are coming for a Safari, you will need to pack differently than if you are coming as a volunteer or business visitor.

You should prepare yourself for a wide variety of conditions that may include dust, and wet, hot and/or cool weather.
